The Moon is in Pisces and strikes a sparkling sextile to the Sun today at 9:34am. Today we are able to have energetic commerce between our heads and hearts, as the Pisces moon asks us to release what we can discard, and the Taurus sun asks us to redefine our values, and find healing in that exercise.
Saturn goes retrograde tonight at 5:55pm, joining Jupiter and Pluto, both retrograde as of 4/10 and 4/24, respectively. Saturn’s retrograde lasts through September 18th, and we’ll see Saturn slide back from 20° Capricorn to 13° Capricorn in this time period.
Saturn is known as a difficult planet, he is the keeper of time, the lord of boundaries. Saturn’s lesson is that from restriction comes fertility. Asking us to work within a particular set of constraints, Saturn encourages us to practice the art of limitation, of responsibility, to ensure that we find our footing. The next five months will be a time of adjustment, of realignment. Though Saturn is fussy and not always kind, I am entering this retrograde with an eye toward the healing power of practicing restraint, to see if something new can bloom from a purposefully limited palette.
